Ryan Michie (Member / Past Junior Club Captain)

I’m Ryan one of the junior club captains for 2011-12. Over the last 6-7 years I have made so many friends and lifelong skills through Seacliff. I have been able to do swim, boards and ironman training every week and this has helped me get fit, make new mates and have fun.

I feel good at carnivals because I can make a difference for the club and my team-mates. I have also been able to compete interstate, I’m proud to be a Blackhead and I’ve made friends in other clubs as well. I was so happy to be voted one of the club captains because it means so many kids know me and support me. I started as an Under 8 and so have basically grown up in the club, which is just fantastic!

I have learned CPR, which is a life skill as well as First Aid. Another great moment for me was winning a surf swim Silver at Junior States on our beach in 2009. I’d love to see everyone, old and new, down the beach to do it all again!
