Happy New Year !!!

We hope everyone had an fantastic break over Christmas, and looking forward to rest of the season as we move into 2023!!

The Junior Calendar FOUND HERE, has been updated with the latest information from SLSSA, local events that the club is holding, and all the training schedules

Junior Carnival – 22nd Jan 2023 – Glenelg

The next junior carnival is January the 22nd at Glenelg SLSC.  To help with the organisation of the carnival, and know which children are competing we asking parents / guardians to register nippers.  Please note, there is no charge for this carnival.

It takes a lot of resources to run the carnivals, so in addition to registering your nippers we are also asking to provide someone (eg parent, guardian, sibling) from each family to help in some way, whether this is set-up, pack up, officiating, water cover etc. The more people we have helping the more we can split roles up.

We have just received the details of the carnival, and they will shared shortly

Please register your nippers HERE by Friday 13th, so we have enough time to get them registered with SLSSA. Any issues, please reach out to your AGLs or juniors@seacliffslsc.com.au

Photographers

Seacliff SLSC nominates photographers to take photographs at Junior training and at carnivals. These photographers need to be financial members of our Club, with a current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.

There are very strict guidelines for taking photographs at a SLS Club and for this reason, we ask that members who are not a nominated photographer, do not take photographs of other children and do not post photographs on social media if they contain images of other children or young people.

if you are keen to be a photographer please contact secretary@seacliffslsc.com.au to organise a (NPC) National Police Check.

Seeking New Officials

We always need officials, and they are so important in the successful running of carnival and sporting events. There are many different levels and pathways for officials. If you are interested in becoming an official, there are a couple of courses early this year that are being run by SLSSA. Its a chance to meet the team and understand some of the sporting guidelines. New officials shadow more experienced officials at carnivals.

If you are interested, please email Arran – arranj.mcmillan@gmail.com and sign up to one of the events here:

Its an awesome opportunity to be involved surf and learn new skills.

Mid week training is back on

A reminder that mid week training is back for Pool Swim, Boards, Surf Swim and Sprints. In addition RnR & March Past training has also resumed
