The first Branch Carnival for 2021 is set down for 20th November and will be a large, combined training session with Glenelg, Somerton, and Brighton. The day will be held at Brighton – with two big competition arenas, the U8-U10’s adjacent to the Brighton Jetty on the southern side and the U11-U13’s further south closer to Seacliff.

U6/U7 and Youth

  • 11:30am – Arrive on Brighton Beach (Youth should enter the beach at Marlborough Street and U6/U7 should enter the beach opposite Brighton SLSC
  • 12:00 Start
  • 13:30 Finish

Format for U6/U7 will be team focused and comprise of activities such as

  • Tug o War
  • Flags
  • Wades
  • Relays

U8 – U13

  • 13:15 – Arrive on Brighton Beach (U11-U13 should enter the beach at Marlborough Street and U8-U10 should enter the beach opposite Brighton SLSC
  • 13:45 – Start
  • 14:45 – Finish
  • 15:15 – All Age Relay (2 Teams Per Club)

MAKE SURE YOU YOU DO YOUR COVID CHECK IN

The format will be focused on team events and an introduction to competing in organised races and conducted at the same time as our

  • Wades (U8) and less-confident U9 and U10 (individual) or Swimming U9/ U10 (individual)
  • Board relay (team of 2)
  • Flags (individual) – 4 pits per arena (Brighton and Seacliff)
  • All age Cameron (team) – multiple teams per club (6 kids per team)
